The 2023 Honda Passport is available in three trim levels. The entry-level trim is the EX-L. The midrange trim is the TrailSport, which adds some rugged exterior appearance touches, and the range-topper is the Elite. A few of the additional exterior features on the TrailSport include 18-inch alloy wheels with aggressively treaded off-road tires, side window sunshades in the rear, and roof rails. It also gets a beefier, more aggressive profile. The Elite ditches the aggressive design touches but adds 20-inch wheels for additional clearance.
Engine (Power)
A single powertrain drives every model of the Honda Passport. The engine is a 3.5-liter V-6 that is capable of pumping out 280 horsepower and backs it up with 262 pound-feet of torque, which is exceptional for a midsize crossover that is not luxury-badged. The engine is paired with a standard nine-speed automatic transmission. It's the same engine that is used in the Passport's cousin, the Pilot. Whether you're dealing with loose gravel or need to push through a bit of mud, the engine should produce enough power to handle the job.
Performance

Interior
The interior design is refined and elegant with straightforward, utilitarian lines and quality materials. The controls are intuitively organized and easy to reach and control. The seats are wide and comfortable with plenty of bolstering, and there's a ton of space in the back for full-sized passengers. Behind the back row, you get 41 cubic feet of storage space, which can be expanded to 78 cubic feet. The technology is driven by an 8-inch touch-screen with standard smartphone integration, Bluetooth, and wireless device charging. The available premium 10-speaker sound delivers booming tones. Also available is a 115-volt household-style power outlet and an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot.
Safety Features
Base safety features start with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts that let you know if someone is coming up where you can't see them, frontal collision warning and mitigation with emergency braking functionality, adaptive cruise control to keep you safely distant from other cars, and parking sensors in both the front and back. At the range-topping Elite trim level, you can also add HondaLink connected services that provide additional peace of mind.
