1. Take a Tour of the Honolulu Zoo, Honolulu

The Honolulu Zoo offers a fun and educational experience for kids of all ages. Located at 221 Kapahulu Avenue, the zoo is home to over 900 animals from the tropics. There are many exhibits featuring some of the most majestic animals in the world, such as rhinos, tigers, zebras, giraffes, and elephants. You will also see primates, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and penguins.

2. Go Bike Riding at Patsy T-Mink Oahu Central Regional Park, Waipio

Do your kids enjoy biking? If so, take a trip to the Patsy T-Mink Oahu Central Regional Park and bike through the park’s 1.2-mile loop trail. The park is located at 94-801 Kamehameha Highway, just 3.5 miles from Waipahu.
The scenic views of the surrounding landscape create a perfect backdrop for a relaxing and exciting biking experience with the kids. So mount your bikes onto your 2023 Honda CRV-LX and take a trip to the park. You can even enjoy a nice picnic at one of the park’s picnic sites.

3. Tour the Pineapple Gardens at Dole Plantation, Wahiawa

The Dole Plantation, located at 64-1550 Kamehameha Highway, is a pineapple plantation that offers a unique glimpse into Hawaii’s history and culture. Your kids will love the 20-minute train ride through the scenic pineapple fields. You also get to sample a variety of pineapple treats, including ice cream, juice, and candies.
If you’re up for more adventure, you can team up and compete against other visitors in the plantation’s large pineapple maze. Don’t forget to shop for pineapple-themed t-shirts, stickers, home decor, and other souvenirs at the plantation’s gift shop.

4. Explore Marine Life at the Waikiki Aquarium, Honolulu

The Waikiki Aquarium is a popular attraction located at 2777 Kalakaua Avenue. It has a variety of exhibits showcasing marine life from Hawaii and around the world. There are sharks, sea turtles, jellyfish, sea snakes, and other species of aquatic animals.
The aquarium offers daily feedings for the monk seal, green sea turtle, and reef sharks. You can also visit the touch pool, where you can touch different species of marine life, such as sea stars and sea urchins. After your tour, pass by the gift shop and let the kids pick up some books and toys related to marine life.
