As one of the most easily recognizable landmarks in the archipelago, this volcanic tuff cone is estimated to be around half a million years old and was designated a U.S. National Natural Landmark in 1968.

This beach park is located at 92-301 Farrington Highway near the town of Kapolei and can be reached in about 15 minutes by car from Waipahu via route I-H-1.
