Ka’ena Point State Park
Ka’ena Point State Park is one of the most remote beaches on Oahu. It’s about 10 miles from Waipahu, which means it might take you a little while to get there, but it’s worth it if you’re looking for peace and quiet.
This beach has long been a favorite of surfers and windsurfers, and it’s also a great place to snorkel or bodyboard. The water here is usually very clear and sometimes even turquoise blue! There are no facilities at this beach, so be sure to bring everything you need with you.
Malaekahana State Park
Malaekahana State Park is an easy drive from Waipahu and offers beautiful views of the coastline. It’s also one of the few places in Hawaii where you can snorkel or dive without a permit. The park has a large sandy beach that’s perfect for sunbathing. The water here comes from an underground spring, and it’s crystal clear.
There are also showers and changing rooms on the premises so you can enjoy your time in the water without worrying about getting sandy or muddy afterward. Lanikai Beach
Lanikai Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Hawaii. Located on Oahu’s Koolaupoko Coast, the beach is known for its calm waters. The water here is clear blue and shallow, making it safe for kids and novice swimmers. If you’re looking for an even calmer swim, head to the north end of the beach, where there are also some sand dunes to climb over.
The beach has a beautiful view that overlooks the Koolau Mountains and the Lanikai area, which makes it very popular among tourists and locals alike! There’s also plenty of parking at the beach, so there won’t be any trouble getting there. This is also a great place to watch the sunset and enjoy some time in nature without having to worry about crowds.
