You may also want to plan on doing some hiking at the park, which offers trails and eight tropical gardens.

2. Aiea Bay State Recreation Area
If you want to dine with a view, head to Aiea Bay State Recreation Area, which overlooks Pearl Harbor. This free park offers picnic tables, a picnic pavilion, a water fountain, and restrooms. The Pearl Harbor Bike Path runs through this park, so you may want to bring your bicycles along.
Located on McGrew Loop in Honolulu, Aiea Bay State Recreation Area is a 10-minute drive from Waipahu.
